“The present is a tense, but only if you fear the future” Lisa Precious

There is no time like the present because the present is a gift. You can hope for a tomorrow, set a goal and plan for a tomorrow, yet you are never promised one. Still, it is wise never to put off what can be done today to enhance your tomorrow.

Finding Joy in God's Presence

Psalm 16: 11- You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

The above verse teaches us that when we are fully present, we can experience the gift of divine presence.

The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.” — Abraham Maslow

Taking Steps Toward Your Purpose

What about if you have a goal, a dream, or perhaps an inner calling and don't quite yet know what the way ahead looks like?

It’s good to know that we are encouraged to have goals. Each day you can do something, even if it is a small thing that moves you closer to the desired outcome. Stagnation and worthless pursuits will bring more of the same, whilst worthwhile pursuits and action create positive momentum. Give your best effort towards your plans. This doesn't mean breaking yourself to get there, do what you can to the best of your ability each day. If you don't have goals or plans, focus on something you can do today to further your knowledge and wisdom.

“Focus on opportunities, not setbacks. Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t. Focus on the present moment, not the past or the future. Empower yourself!” ― Akiroq Brost

Faith: Your Compass in the Unknown

Hebrews 11:1 – "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."

The above verse assures us that as long as we have the self belief and confidence in our goals, it's okay to walk into the unknown with faith, even when the end result is not clear. With self belief and holding onto our faith we can accomplish anything.

Aligning Your Plans with God's Purpose

Proverbs 19:21 – "Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails."

God your higher power knows your purpose over your own plans. Have you ever thought that you had something all figured out, but it didn't quite go the way you thought or planned it, and yet everything ultimately turned out for the better? This is why we are asked to align our goals and dreams with pure intent, trusting that God, our higher power knows whats best.

Pre-sending Your Tomorrow Through Today's Actions

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is not promised, so all you have is the present moment. With the hope of tomorrow in mind then everything you do and say in this present moment is pre-sending a message ahead to determine all of your tomorrows.

Philippians 3:14 – "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

The above verse serves as a humble reminder to focus on our spiritual goals and pray for God's wisdom above all else.

Make what you pre-send today is a positive message for your tomorrow! Until next week, shoot for the stars!
