This week’s newsletter is an invitation to explore your battle words — how you might be keeping yourself in a state of resistance… and how a gentle shift in your language can reconnect you to your natural flow of peace, clarity, and strength.

The Power of Your Spells

The words we speak are spells — not in the broomstick-and-cauldron sense, but how they shape our inner world and our outer experience. Every word carries energy, reinforcing a belief. Without realising it, we speak our reality into being, again and again.

Most people say they want peace, joy, or wellness. But listen closely to how they speak, and you'll often find tension, resistance, and conflict in their words.

We say things like:

  • “I’m fighting off this cold.”
  • “I struggle to eat healthy.”
  • “I’m battling cancer.”
  • “Fight the virus.”

These phrases feel so normal to us. But they keep us locked in the states we long to escape.

What if we chose a different spell?

🌿 Language Shift: From Resistance to Empowerment

Old LanguageNew Spell
“I’m fighting off this cold”“I’m nurturing my wellness”
“Fight the virus / control the spread”“Fortify the health of the community”
“I struggle to eat healthy”“I honour my body’s health”
“I struggle to keep fit”“I grow stronger daily”
“Fight a war”“Unite in lasting peace”
“I’m battling cancer”“I welcome healing”
“Anti-racism”“Unity and understanding”
“Police force”“Peace officers”
“Antidepressants”“Balance-restoring medicine”

Every word is a planted seed in the mind. What you plant, you grow.

Shifting your language doesn’t mean you're avoiding issues — instead, you're choosing words that support your well-being rather than drain it. Words rooted in peace, wholeness, and trust gently bring you back into harmony with the life you're seeking.

🌪️ The Energy Drain of Resistance

Do you feel it now? Words like anti, battling, fighting, and control carry a heavy energetic load. They condition us to "battle" against life rather than flow with it.

And the battle of inner resistance is exhausting, we've all been there.

We spend so much energy pushing, managing, suppressing, and defending. We fight against what we fear, even within ourselves. We wrestle with what we don’t understand. We try to control everything that makes us uncomfortable.

But all that tension keeps us stuck. What we resist persists, not because life is cruel, but because we're still feeding it attention, energy, and focus.

This battle language doesn’t just live in our words — it lives in our nervous systems, our choices, our exhaustion. We don’t need to fight for our peace. We just need to stop fighting against ourselves.

🔍 The Spiritual Maze of Disempowerment

It’s not just language. It’s the stories we absorb and the beliefs we carry, many of which we didn’t even choose.

We’re surrounded by so many mixed messages. One voice says, “Do more.” Another says, “surrender.” We end up in a maze, trying to fix things that might not even be broken.

You might catch yourself thinking:

  • “Am I doing enough?”
  • “What am I missing?”
  • “Why don’t I feel more healed by now?”

You are exactly where you're meant to be.

Try saying and remembering this mantra:

“I am enough. I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I am grace. I am grateful. I am all that I am.”

When you stop searching for power and control outside yourself, you find it quietly waiting for you within.

🕊️ Beyond The Conflict: A New Paradigm of Understanding

We’ve been conditioned to believe that strength and power has to look like force, demands, control, or domination. But real leadership, real power, doesn’t shout, blame, or divide- it's peaceful

Valuable leaders light the way forward by staying rooted in clarity, not fear. They know there are no true winners in conflict, whether it's a war between nations or a war within the self.

The language of blame, resistance, and competition only builds more of the same. But when we soften, when we choose words that unify, when we stop trying to battle to "win” and start trying to "understand", is when healing begins.

And maybe, just maybe, there are still places within you holding onto the old ways — the internal battles, the harsh, critical self-talk, the fear of not doing enough, or demanding others change for you to feel better.

But when you release the fight and stop pushing against life, you allow everything you've been seeking to come to you with ease.

In that space of grace within, you discover where your true power lies.
