The first fruit to emerge on your growth journey symbolises the initial yield of all your efforts. Just as a plant or tree needs to be sown in fertile soil, tended to regularly, and allowed sufficient time to flourish, so must one's endeavours be nurtured to achieve abundance.

"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet" Aristole

The quote above recognises the challenges we must face while learning and growing. But like a plant, enduring hardships leads to the 'sweet' fruits of success and transformation. It's a gentle reminder that despite the difficulties and struggles to keep pushing through to the light.

It's a wonderful feeling, mixed with excitement and joy, to witness the growth of a first fruit on something you have worked on, nurtured and cared for over time. There is a sense of wonder and awe as you recognise the fruit of your labour is beginning to pay off.

When you begin the growth journey, it can feel lonely and isolating, as though nobody can see or hear you or quite get what you are trying to achieve. Sometimes you might question yourself when you can't see any fruits of your efforts, yet deep down rooted within you is a little voice whispering, “keep going”

If your journey and development align with true values, integrity, and divine guidance, then success will surely follow in good time. Even if others doubt your endeavours, what truly counts is the belief you have in yourself at every stage.

It's wonderful when someone appreciates your work and resonates with it. When you offer your services and they relish the benefits, it's a heart-warming and fulfilling experience.

So how do you produce good fruit?

  1. Plant yourself firmly and deeply rooted in who you are.
  2. Nourish yourself spiritually in mind and body.
  3. Continue to feed the soil by taking steps in alignment with your values.
  4. Don't focus too far ahead; deal with what's right in front of you. Sometimes lots of small steps can cover greater distances.
  5. Don't be afraid to stand alone, for things created of value and beauty stand out better when isolated from the crowd.
  6. You may begin to recognise you no longer resonate with some activities and people you used to spend time around. This is all a natural stage of your self-discovery and growth journey. Trust your inner voice, and stick to nurturing your growth.

Engage in these actions, and in time the first fruits will appear. Even if the initial yield is modest, savour some for yourself, then generously share the bounty with a worthy cause, asking nothing in return. This selfless act allows others to enjoy the fruits of your labour, which paves the way for greater abundance to flow into your life.

Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15:4

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:4
