Hello and welcome to our weekly newsletter! Just a heads-up, this edition was written in advance and seemed appropriate as I'm currently embarking on a 500-mile pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. I'm thrilled about the unknown adventure ahead and eager to uncover new insights during my travels to share with you at a later date. I hope to keep you updated on the path and if you would like to donate something to our greater mission, please feel free to do so HERE
“If the path is beautiful, let us not ask where it leads" Anatole France.
Not sure of the path you are on and which direction to go?
A Shift in Perspective
We're often told we need clear goals and must hit targets. That's what I learned about sales and business. But one day, I realised this didn't feel right anymore. I was tired of being judged only by my sales numbers, which kept getting harder to beat.
Instead, I wanted to live differently and follow biblical values, be authentic, work with others, show my vulnerable side, and feel more free, and be at peace within. I believed if I could imagine it, I could make it happen. The more I have surrendered to this way of being, the more life seems to unfold itself to me.
When the Path Looks Uncertain
The path might not always be clear or easy, and that's okay. What matters most is the journey, not where we end up. So stop worrying so much about goals. Instead, enjoy each step and everything you experience along the way.
When it is unclear ahead, or the path looks treacherous, you can’t see where you’re going, it feels scary, and the sensible route usually points in a completely different direction. Your friends and family may attempt to persuade you to stay where you are, and not to bother pursuing your ambitions.
Help! What do you do and have you ever felt your life can be like this? Of course, it’s easier to take what others could say is the sensible route and approach. Is your heart and mind whispering for something else?
Taking the Leap of Faith
Well, it’s a leap of faith to take the route that looks unclear, and do you know what? Once you do it and learn to trust everything will somehow work out for your highest good, in time, and despite the challenges, you’ll be glad you did, and you’ll realise you’re far more capable than you first thought. It’s better to try and fail than never try at anything. There's so much to learn about ourselves, the world and people along the way.
Here are 6 helpful tips that will support you.
- Focus on the present: Deal only with what's right in front of you. When the path ahead seems unclear, concentrate on taking one step at a time rather than worrying about the entire journey.
- Exercise patience: Progress may not always be immediate or visible. Be patient and trust that things are unfolding as they should, even if you can't see the results yet.
- Trust and faith: Believe in yourself and the process. Trust that following your heart's desire will lead to positive outcomes, even if the path seems uncertain.
- Accept uncertainty: Accept that clarity may not come immediately. Sometimes, staying "stuck" until you gain more insight can be valuable. Use this time for reflection and personal growth.
- Recognise your capabilities: Remember that you're often more capable than you initially believed. Taking the challenging path can reveal strengths and abilities you didn't even know you had.
- There's No Right Way: We can all get stuck in our heads sometimes thinking there's a right and wrong way. Not really, when we look at life a bit differently and view all paths taken as an experience and growth.
