I pray and meditate about Jesus while I write this piece (I pray, meditate, and write all at once ).
Before writing, I always seek spiritual guidance in this way.
Let me explain what I see in the forefront of my mind. First, there is a path where Jesus is holding my hand. It makes me feel joy, immense wonder, and peace because I understand how all people are helping each other on this life journey, side by side.
We must work towards demonstrating forgiveness and kindness to those who hurt us. I know this is challenging, albeit part of our journey.
John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this, all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Improving our lives means becoming better versions of ourselves. Jesus is the perfect role model, and the reason we say, "Jesus saves."
If we learn more about Jesus, we can understand his ways and character, so we can work towards developing ours.
While writing this, I can feel his love in my heart, envisioning him holding my hand on the path toward light.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
I see purple, similar to a sash on Jesus's white robe, showing that our minds can become enlightened as we walk the path with Christ. Being alive here on earth is a learning experience, and we should never stop seeking knowledge, looking up to Jesus as our example. He reminds us to keep working on our character as we follow him.
John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life
A piece of wood, like a log, is shown to me, which represents smoothing out our imperfections as we continually work on improving ourselves. Like a piece of smooth wood that has many uses, we should be of service to others, flexible, gentle, and patient while remaining rooted in our values.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
However, it's important not to confuse adopting his character with acceptance of bad behavior or disrespect. Being around people who are not spiritually grown does not help us. We should endeavor to always choose the higher path by walking away and not paying attention to closed-off minds.
John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
God’s ultimate purpose is to make us like Christ. His goal is the complete restoration of the image of God in us. So great a work demands all the resources which God finds throughout the universe, and all the joys and sorrows we experience are to reproduce in us the character of Jesus.
When Jesus said I am the way, he wasn't just saying the way to get forgiveness of sins. He says I am the way- the way I lived is the way you should live. He is the narrow way and He is inviting you and me to walk as He walked. His life was the perfect hallmark of selflessness.”― Prasanth Jonathan
There’s an old proverb that states, "Show me your friends, and I'll tell you who you are." It reveals how our character is formed by the company we keep. The individuals with whom we invest our time exert influence on our thoughts, actions, and daily decisions.
Who and what we surround ourselves with is who and what we become. In the midst of good people, it is easy to be good. In the midst of bad people, it is easy to be bad.”

My Personal Visit
When my children were little, I had a profound experience with Jesus. Some may say it was just a dream, but this went way beyond.
I faced personal battles at the time with many issues that needed resolving and complained a lot about my life.
One night, I was sleeping and received a visit from Jesus. I also experienced a couple of close calls in the car while driving during the same week and before the visitation.
When Jesus came to me, I cannot begin to describe the words of pure love and bliss, only to say it was thousands more times than anything I felt for anyone here on earth.
Jesus reached his arms out to me, and I desperately wanted to fall into them, only I had a sense I would not return if I did. It took every ounce of my being, and I asked Jesus not to take me but to allow me to see my children grow up; I came to, and the experience was over. From that day, I quit complaining and chose gratitude for everything I held dear.
When we ask Jesus for help and choose 'flight' over 'grounded,' He builds within us a loyalty to God that overcomes all opposing forces.” ― Katy Kauffman Heart Renovation: A Construction Guide to Godly Character
